One of a Kind Therapy

Where connection nurtures capability

Paediatric Occupational Therapy and Play Therapy

Sensory Integration

Our Occupational Therapists understand how a child receives, processes and responds to sensory information then uses this to support the child to filter that information so they can focus on what they need to do.

Regulation & School Skills

Occupational Therapists are uniquely positioned to support children with regulation. They understand how children recognise sensation in their body and label cues as emotion. OTs also understand how other things like muscle abilities impact energy allocation.

Executive Functions

Higher order thinking skills such as holding information in mind to problem solve, plan and organise what we will do, follow a routine, and manage our belongings are all skills that Occupational Therapists can support children to improve.

Daily Living Activities

Our paediatric OTs can support your child to develop the ability to complete daily self care tasks independently. Skills like dressing, bathing, teeth brushing and mealtimes can be developed so that your daily routines run smoother day to day.

Play & Social Engagemet

Children's main occupation is play, this is how they practice new skills, learn about the world, and develop an ability to interact and negotiate with others. As children get older this might look slightly different, our OTs are here to support your child’s engagement.

Functional Capacity

Our occupational therapists can provide functional capacity assessments that include a breakdown of skills across NDIS domains.

Grow their inner confidence

When kids understand their inner world they can express who they are, what they like, and connect with others. Building inner confidence translates into a greater ability to explore writing, playing, learning and problem solving.

Activities you can work on together

Our framework ensures that therapy extends beyond the clinic space and provides practical strategies and supports for the home, school and community. This is a core focus at OAK as we believe a supportive family environment creates lasting change.
